Years ago when we lived in Centerville, we were invaded by turkey buzzards. The only legal way to chase them away was to fire shotgun noise shells at them. I bought a shotgun and got the legal ammunition from the State of Delaware. At dusk the first night, Joe came out to the house and showed me how to fire the gun to scare the birds away. After three or four shots the birds had flown away. I thanked Joe and he drove away. A few minutes after he left there was a soft knock at our front door. It was Joe and he poked his head in our front door and comically said, They're back!). It took three moree weeks to finally convince the birds we meant business and left for good.
Joe was one of my best employees and always willing to do what was necessary to make the company successful. He will be missed.
