He was an excellent person and physician. He was kind, and compassionate and put those who worked with him as ease, as well as the patients. He was excellent with children. Dr. Black, your work is done. Thank you for being a good servant, and steward of the earth. You were a kind and gentle soul. I will never forget your smile. My deepest condolences to his family.
I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Black's passing, So many fond memories of our days working together in Beebe's Emergency Dept. He was such a wonderful and easy-going physician to work with. The stress of working in the ED was always lightened when he was there. I can clearly see him with his feet up on the desk, kicked back in his chair during our occasional lulls on the night shift. ( I used to threaten to tie his shoelaces together and write on his head when he dozed off.). He was a special soul and loved by all who worked with him in the ED. You always brightened my day and hold a special place in my memories. Love and prayers to your family.
Our deepest condolences to Cathy & the family of Dr. Joe; he was a neighbor & friend in Slaughter Beach for many years! I can see him rollerblading by now & soaking up the view out front. May he rest in ever-lasting peace.
