It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Jon Ronald Garner Jr., affectionately known as Ronnie, on July 4, 2026.
Born in Milford, Delaware, Ronnie made his home in Lewes, Delaware, where he was known for his genuine spirit, and remarkable talent for building and fixing just about anything. He had a natural knack for household projects and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Whether tackling a renovation, repairing something that seemed beyond saving, or creating something with his own hands, Ronnie took pride in his work and found joy in his projects.
Above all, Ronnie cherished his family. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Carol Garner; his father, Ron Garner Sr.; his daughter, Kiah Garner; his beloved grandsons, Kason and Silas; life partner Chrissy Johnson ,his sister, Jennifer Jackson; his niece, nephews, extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Ronnie’s sudden passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to help others, his craftsmanship, and the love he shared with his family. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the enduring love of those he leaves behind.
Ronnie will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays — Protects and restores the local bays, waterways, and marine habitats that support fishing, crabbing, and boating. A fitting tribute for someone who loved being on the water.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, services will be private.
