Obituary
John "Jack" W. Wooters, age 71, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, DE. John was born in Blades, DE on January 2, 1934. He served in the U. S. Army from 1956 to 1962. He was stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA and then served at the Savannah River Defense Area in Barnwell, SC. John held the position of a SP5 in Battery C Artillery Battalion. After his service duty, he worked as a carpenter for 38 years. He loved building and refinishing furniture, watching and caring for birds, sports and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Catherine Wooters, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gladys King Wooters of Georgetown; a daughter Stefanie Wooters also of Georgetown; one sister Delores Barbin of Saco, ME; one sister-in-law, Esther Willey of Redden; and severl nieces and nephews.
Burial will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE.
