John L. Walker's Obituary
Harold P. Williams, Jr., 62, of Bridgeville, DE passed away at his residence on Monday, February 20, 2006. He was born June 26, 1943, in Milford, DE son of the late Harold Parker Williams, Sr. and Roberta "Messick" Williams of Bridgeville.
Mr. Wiliams was a former sales representative for various agricultural companies. Over the years, his sales territory included Sussex County, DE, the Midwest and the Southeast. Mr. Williams earned a BS in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1966. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and he was a member of the Seaford VFW Post 4961.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Virginia (Evans) Williams of Bridgeville; a daughter Heather Griffith and her husband Michael of Greenwich, NJ; two granddaughters, Sara Logan and Rachel Elizabeth Griffith both of Greenwich; a brother Mark F. Williams and a sister-in-law, Kathy Williams, both of Bridgeville; and the large extended Williams family of Sussex County.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stein Highway, Seaford, DE with Rev. Gary Tulak officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, February 22, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to VFW Virgil Wilson Post 4961, Middleford Road, Seaford, DE 19973.
