Warren Martin
Farewell to a friend and shipmate. I have known Mickey since 1973. We were both stationed at Oceana Virginia with fighter squadron VF-84 Jolly Rogers. I am from Cape May New Jersey and Mickey was kind enough to give me a ride to the Lewes Ferry so I could get home on a few weekends. Later during our careers Mickey and Doreen were out neighbors in Virginia Beach. We played chess and threw darts in our backyards to pass the time. Mickey was a little better than I and he often won those games. Later in our careers we were stationed together with VF-11 Red Rippers. Mickey was promoted to a Navy Chief where he served with distinction. Mickey was well liked and respected by his men. He had a true love of the Navy and his family. Our deepest condolences to Doreen, Michael, and Manny. From Warren and Theresa Martin
