As I read over the tributes to TJ, I am struck by how he had the ability to make everyone feel like they were so special to him. My husband and I join the group. When we started looking for a vacation home in Delaware, we googled realtors and called Rehoboth Bay Realty, just because I was drawn to the name. TJ answered and was so incredibly personal and friendly. No kidding, we talked for almost a half hour just about nothing. When we met him a couple weeks later, he stepped out of his car in shorts and a floral print shirt and flashed a smile that I will always remember.
Over the next couple of years, we bought and sold a couple properties and TJ was so key in every transaction. We loved hearing stories about his family and he was always ready to show us photos of his family, vacations or whatever. We spent a long time looking through photos of his daughter's wedding as he told us what happened all throughout the day. He was also so excited about the family trip to Hawaii and was so excited that Jack was going to purpose to his future wife. It was so obvious how he loved his wife and kids.
Our hearts just ache. I keep asking, "How is this possible?" I was so blessed when I read his facebook post about his experience talking with God years ago when a serious health episode landed him in the hospital. I sensed an incredible peace from TJ as he told the story. What a powerful post. I trust that the God of the universe gave TJ a peace when he said "so long" to this earth and sailed into heaven.
Our heartfelt prayers go out to his dear family. May peace fill their aching hearts as they treasure the memories of TJ and may they find hope knowing they will see him again.
With aching hearts,
Brian and Dawn Waltman
