Ruth and Jack’s family, a highlight of every auction or estate sale we attended during the past 25 years was time spent with Jack. A wealth of information, Jack was always eager to share in our excitement over a special find or to educate us on one of his new treasures. Meeting you when he invited us to meet at your Savannah Road home years ago, and on various occasions thereafter, was a joy. His love for you and for his friends and family was always evident. His gentle nature and kindnesses toward us, his intolerance for liars and rude folks, and his wry sense of humor are truly missed. He was a very special man, whose company and interest in our well-being is missed. We offer our sincere condolences to you.

Every one called him Jack, but I called him John W . He is a very kind and funny man, I’ll call him my friend, I will miss our visits. But I have awesome memories from the short time I enjoyed with him and his loving family!
To Uncle Jack, his Family, Loved ones, and Friends.
The Lord Bless you and keep you.
The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you Peace.
Words can never replace our actual feelings during times such as these. Although tough, I will try. As a young boy who eventually grew into a man. I am graced with the fond and wonderful memories of my Uncle Jack. Jack always seemed to be on an adventure. It seems he would always find old antique things in places I would have never imagined?
Old lamps, stained glass, bottles and posters used to advertise various things. Items that were neat, but things that didn't spark real interest from me. I being a mechanical nut was more interested in the old cars and trucks he'd find in his travels. Like the one old car he found and purchased with the rumble seat that had a dead cat lying on it? I could listen to his encounters for hours, while totally hanging on every word.
As I got older, at 19 Jack and Ruth decided to move the entire family to Tennessee. He trusted me with some of his precious cargo. John their son, and most of their furniture that was loaded in an old Curtis Brothers moving van I drove. Ruth drove her Jeep with a U Haul trailer, and Jack brought up the rear in the old SLOW school bus converted into a camper.
It was just one of the many adventures I had. The likes of which, I will never forget! I want to Thank Ruth, John, Tina, and Lara for allowing me to be involved and trusting me with helping them move. As well as just hanging around as a young teen who always enjoyed y'all's company! It's Because of experiences such as these. I am a much better person today!
I love you all!
Thanks so much.
