John Robinson's Obituary
John Louis Robinson, Jr., age 80, of Lewes, DE, died Friday, June 30, 2008, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. John was born October 8, 1927 in Washington, DC to the late John Louis Robinson and Kathryn (Jaquette) Robinson.
John served as a Washington Post Agent in distribution for 40 years. During World War II, he served with the Merchant Marines. He was a member of the South Eastern Sussex Democratic Club. John was a devoted husband and father, a genuine family Patriarch, who enjoyed golf in his free time.
John is survived by his wife Cathryn Marilla (Thompson) Robinson; a daughter, Nancy Hovance of Ocean Pines, MD; and a son, Michael J. Robinson and his wife, Vanessa, of Silver Spring, MD; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Hovance, Kristen Hovance, Keith Hovance, Victoria Lynn Casto, Joshua Logan Robinson, Nicholas M. Robinson, Joseph John Robinson, and Daniel Stanley Robinson; two former daughters-in-law, Iva Crawford of West Virginia and Karen Donovan of Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, John Louis Robinson III.
