John Risden's Obituary
John "Bob" Robert Risden, age 76, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 22, surrounded by his family. Mr. Risden was born April 2, 1930, in Newark, NJ, son of the late John Bennett and Florence (Timney) Risden.
Mr. Risden was a veteran of the Korean war. Following is military service, he enjoyed a long civilian career with the Federal government. He enjoyed fishing and boating. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Dolores Risden; a son, John Charles Risden and his wife Linda of Churchton, MD; a daughter, Veronica Jean Pucillo and her husband Anthony of Glendale, MD; and two grandsons, John and Christopher Risden.
A Memorial Service with military honors will be held Saturday, January 13, 2007, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel Green Clubhouse, 104 Ancient Oak Ct., Lewes, DE; Pastor Richard Prahl, Chaplain of Compassionate Care Hospice will be officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 201-A W. DuPont Highway, Millsboro, DE 19966.
