John A. Reiner's Obituary
John A. Reiner, age 68, of Millsboro, DE, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 21, 1940 in Tremont, PA, son of the late Leroy and Sara (Kreis) Reiner.
Mr. Reiner and his wife of 38 years, Patricia (Patterson) Reiner, relocated to the beach from Berks County, PA six years ago. Mr. Reiner loved the great outdoors and especially enjoyed collecting driftwood at Cape Henlopen Park. John was an avid gardener and landscaper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #28. Prior to moving to the beach, John had been employed as a purchasing agent for the Caloric Corporation in Topton, PA and for Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel Co. in Allentown, PA.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his son John Andrew Reiner of Millsboro, DE; a daughter Rebecca Fenstermaker of Lewes; grandson James Fenstermaker of Lewes; and his brother David Reiner of Pottsville, PA.
All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Compassionate Care Hospice of the Delmarva Peninsula, 31038 Country Gardens Blvd., Dagsboro, DE 19939.
