John H. Powell's Obituary
John H. Powell, Jr. died March 23, 2014 at Cadbury at Lewes. He was born August 27, 1927, the only child of John H. Powell, Sr. and Ruth Fowler Powell of Scranton, PA.
He graduated from Keystone College and spent most of his life in Philadelphia, PA as a Customer Relations Manager in the garment industry. This involved frequent commutes between Philadelphia and New York City.
John loved animals and contributed freely to animal charities.
He moved to Sussex County, DE in 2006. He is survived by his partner of forty-four years, Robert Cochran.
Although he suffered from Alzheimer's disease during his last years, John will be remembered by those who knew him as an outgoing fun loving friend.
His body was cremated as he wished.
