Pam and John David,

Marie and I, along with our kids, mom, and brother Ted are all saddened to hear of John's passing. As you know, I first met John about 60 years ago. We quickly became close friends and I always felt he was part of my family. We spent a lot of time together both in sports and at each others homes growing up. He was a great friend, a great athlete, and a fun person to be around. He was always positive about things and well liked by everyone. I feel very lucky and blessed to have known John and been friends for so long. He was a great man with a beautiful family. I will miss John, but also treasure his friendship and the wonderful memories. You're both in our prayers.

Dear Pam,

I was so shocked to hear of John's untimely passing. I worked with John before he retired, and I learnt so much from him about work and life. He always had some good advised whenever we spoke. John spoke often of his family including the stories of how you all met. :) When he retired, we kept in contact and last we spoke, a colleague and I was to arrange to meet with him during the summer. It's so sad that it will never happen.

Be strong and hold on to the wonderful memories.

Hi Pam, I worked with John and we sat next to each other for many year's at Engelhard/Basf. He was a kind soul and a loving husband and father. Hi Pam,
I worked with John at BASF for a few years, until he retired. I never thought I'd find a friend like John at work. He is an Aries (like my dad) and I always found such similar characteristics between them, so I immediately found comfort in his presence. On my best and worst days, I'd go over to John's desk and we would chat. John was so intelligent and I learned so much from him - we worked closely together. He would share stories about you and your son with me, and even your delicious food.
After John retired, I called/texted a few times a year, but thought of him often. The last time I texted for his birthday, I told him I'd call him, but we never got the chance to speak. The fact that I never will hear his voice again is so difficult to come to terms with. I cared for John very much, as more than just as a coworker and I pray that he is at peace. He will truly be missed.
