Audrey so sorry I missed Johns funeral. I just found out from Jane. Such a great man. I saw that it was asked to share a joke of Johns, I would love to but if I post the only one I remember I'll get in trouble......"cracks me up" just thinking about it....
Uncle Johnny was always laughing! He was funny, smart, quirky and silly! When he and Grandad got together they constantly cracked each other up with their jokes, crazy songs and tales of their 'younger days'. I am very grateful that I have those memories. . . . .

John was a wonderful man. I worked with him in Christina SDis. I learned a lot from him and used that knowledge in my job. His passing must be unbearable, but know that so many lives were touched, improved and better for his skills.

I would have been there today, but have to take my husband to the VA Hospital in Elsmere at the same time as his service.

Our memories of both you and John go back over 35 years when you lived in Newark, Audrey, and I taught in Medill and Central and John was such a witty and helpful person. You and I shared many fond memories of our travels and "Welcome Wagon!" When we retired to Rehoboth, I was so happy to hear you both also were here and close by us. It is comforting to know the pain he sometimes endured will not be there any longer. Our thought and prayers go out to you and your family.
