Remembering Jack from his younger years. My parents, Fran and Fran Cooper, my sister, Debbie and brother Dennis, loved spending time in Wilmington and Rehoboth with Jack and his parents, Uncle John and Aunt Jay. Always had fun singing with Aunt Jay and her ukulele, playing cards, shucking Lima beans and going to the NY Worlds Fair together . God bless the McDowell family.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I knew Jack from Wilmington University in the 70’s. We actually went on a shopping date to buy Christmas gifts for his son. ( I made him promise to buy me a game for helping him ) I also remember our college class took a trip to NYC to be in a competition. I often thought of Jack over the years. Jack and my dear, late husband, Lee, always had a special bond that they carried on for many, many years. After Lee passed, Jack would still keep up
this special contact with me, esp. since we were both night owls. The phone
calls weren’t that frequent, but always meant a lot......we will all miss Jack.....
