John and I went to the same elementary school and our mothers shared the carpooling duties. After a few twists and turns, we wound up in the same graduating class at Landon School. I remember him as steady, reliable, and a good classmate. I hope his family will accept my condolences on their loss.

Sue and I got to know John through our mutual involvement in bridge activities. We always admired his courage and desire to pursue life in spite of the challenges he had to deal with. His attitude was always positive and making the world a better place was a paramount goal. Although our acquaintance was limited, there is no doubt he will be missed.
