John and I worked together for may years while he was working with the youthful firesetters and i worked with the childrens dept State of DE. he was a very warm caring person. No matter how busy he was he found time to address your needs.
i also knew his children, they played with my children when we lived in Harmony HIlls.
Our children grew up together.
Many pleasant memories.....
He will be sorely missed

Our heartfelt and sincere condolences go out to Marie and to John's family and loved ones. John was such a special friend to us during some great times that we had working together at Macy's at the Christiana Mall. He always made us laugh and feel good about ourselves. He was just so nice to have around. Pizza and beer nights with John and Marie were so much fun and will never be forgotten, and John will always live in our hearts and mines forever. Peace now my friend and God Bless You, and may God Bless You too, Marie . . .

I met John when I joined Christiana VFCo. In 1980. We had become friends and was very involved with the youth program through the Fire Marshals Office. He is a great inspiration to anyone with a heart. He will be missed by so many. May his family and all who knew him be comforted by his memories. RIP & God Bless!
I used to be a probation officer with Family Court for juveniles and had a couple of kids that worked with John who had fire related charges. John did a nice job with them and to my knowledge they never had fife related problems again. He was a good man and I enjoyed working with him. I extend my sympathy to John's family for his loss.
