Mr. Meaney, one of the best teachers I ever had, I remember his stories and all the pictures when he visited West Germany. When I was under his care as a student he made a major impact in my life and because of him I am what I am today. He taught me to never give up and I am not what other labeled me, he believe in me and coming from a broken home he was the father figure I needed at that time, taught me the love of world history, how to think independently and to never stop learning. Now I am a father of two, a business owner in the financial industry. I am grateful and blessed to had Mr. Meaney as my teacher.

We will miss Jack so very much. Jack would deliver meals no matter the weather. The clients that met Jack loved him and he will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and Prayers to all of Jacks family. He was such a kind spirit.

I didn't know Jack until he and Lorraine moved into my development in Delaware. I was amazed to find out that someone born in the Bronx and who taught in the Bronx could possibly love the Red Sox and not the Yankees! That took guts! Since I was a Yankees' fan, we had many exchanges over the years in a friendly rivalry. I miss those moments, Jack, and I miss seeing you walk your dogs as the community's K9 patrol. Rest in peace, Jack.

Throughout his life Jack listened and learned which provided him with the resources to teach. He was a special friend for me, we shared conversations, opinions and he always provided the jokes. I'll miss those times with you and that smile that always welcomed me. You were the captain who kept his crew in line - rest dear friend, your job was well done.

Every year for St. Patrick’s Day I would give Jack a gift that signified Irish ☘️ pride whether a pin, hat, tie, etc. I just wanted him to know that I respected his Irish ☘️ heritage that he was so prideful of. He always made me laugh 😆 just when I needed it, with his infectious smile 😊 and personality. He was our lucky 🍀 charm of CS 67 and lived life boldly with such a zest for life. I will miss you dearly my Irish ☘️ school brother/friend and you will always have a place in my heart 💚!!! You got your Irish ☘️ wings now!!! Gods Blessings!!! I worked with Jack at PS 67 in the Bronx. I was Speech Teacher. I remember his smile and easy-going personality. I loved talking to him cause he had a good sense of humor and rarely got angry. His students loved him. To his wife Lorraine, sorry for your loss. May God comfort you.
