John A. Eltonhead's Obituary
John A. Eltonhead, Jr., age 79, of Lewes, DE, passed away Friday, December 19, 2008, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Mr. Eltonhead was born July 8, 1929 in Drexel Hill, PA, son of the late John Adams Eltonhead, Sr. and Helen (Ruppman) Eltonhead.
Mr. Eltonhead was a member of the Groome United Methodist Church in Lewes. He was 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shriners. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife Marion E. Eltonhead; his daughter, Catherine Erb of Athens, GA; a step-daughter Linda Kitchens of Stryker, OH; a step-son Robert McAdams of Mystic Islands, NJ; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A private Memorial Service with military honors will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Service where Mr. Eltonhead will be entombed. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Creamatorium, Lewes, DE.
