John "Jack" Crystle III's Obituary
John “Jack” M. Crystle, III, age 79, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. He was born on August 30, 1935 in Upland, PA, son of the late John M. Jr. and Myrtle E. (Flemming) Crystle.
Mr. Crystle enjoyed a 25 year career as a Sales Consultant with the T. Frank McCalls Company in Chester, PA where he retired in 1998 and relocated to the Rehoboth Beach area. He loved working in retail, especially in Men's Clothing stores, such as Mullins, Boscov's, JC Penney, Male Casuals and Jack Lang all in the Wilmington area. Most recently Mr. Crystle worked at the Delaware State Park as a fee collector. He enjoyed fishing and watching sporting events, especially football. He was an active member of the Midway Lions Club and attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Rehoboth Beach.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Crystle was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Crystle and a sister, Elizabeth Kohl. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Nancy J. (Dannker) Crystle; two sons, John E. Crystle and his wife Bobbi of New Castle, DE, Jeffrey W. Crystle and his wife Peggy of Newark, DE, two daughters, Millie Bickling and her husband Carl of Cochranville, PA and Karen Curran and her husband Jamie of North East, MD, six grandchildren, Robert Crystle of Newark, DE, Jennifer and Brandon Crystle also of Newark, DE, Carl Bickling III of Cochranville, PA, Benjamin and Claire Curran of North East, MD and one brother, James Crystle.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 18 Olive Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
