John Q. Boraski Sr.'s Obituary
John Q. Boraski Sr., age 75, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016, at home with family. He was born Sunday, June 22, 1941 in Wilmington, DE, son of the late William and Sara (Quinn) Boraski.
Mr. Boraski attended Salesianum High School with the Class of 1959. He earned a Master's Degree from American College and built a career as a Registered Investment Advisor. He was a prior member of St. Joseph's on the Brandywine, their choir, and he assisted with their outreach program at La Esperanza and Gardenia House. He was a member of St. Edmond's, where he served on the finance council, was a member of the choir, a cantor, and attended daily Mass. Mr. Boraski was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed friendships culivated in music ministry, with parishoners at St. Edmond's, and with his "Advisor" clients. Ever a patriot, Mr. Boraski was a very proud U.S. Navy veteran. He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, love of beer and nachos, and his always smiling face. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Ann (Camilli) Boraski; his daughter, Jennifer Papillo and her husband Frank, of Wilmington, DE; his son, John Boraski, Jr. of Rehoboth Beach, DE; and his granddaughter, Sara Rose Papillo, of Wilmington, DE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM, at St. Edmond's Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Cemetery, 10 Old Church Rd, Greenville, DE 19807.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Boraski's name to Gardenia House, c/o Sister Rosa Alvarez, 302 West Laurel Street, Georgetown, DE 19947, or St. Edmond's Church.
