The Williams family will always remmeber John for his generosity in spirit and in life. We spent many happy times with John and the Angus family at the beach and back in VA. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
We remember the wonderful times with John and "the Diamondbacks". He was a good friend and a fun person. He and Debi created a loving house in McLean, Virginia, where all felt welcome. May he Rest In Peace knowing he lived a good life with a loving wife and 3 wonderful daughters. John and Freda Lippert Thyden.
I hearken back to the good old days at Capital Centre where we first met John. It was Debi who glowed brightest whenever he was around, and I will never forget that very special smile that he brought out of her. Quick of mind, thoughtful and kind. That's how I remember John. John was always quick with a good joke and and interesting stories. He saw the staff at work as colleagues and made sure all were treated well. My deepest condolences to all of his family.
We were fortunate to count the Angus family as close friends for many years, both inGarden City and Vermont, where we shared many evenings in front of fireplaces, recounting the day's skiing and the dangers we had survived.
One night stand out-a New Year's eve. when we all went tobaggening down the hill by our house , ending in the ditch! and loving it.
