John A. Albanese Jr.'s Obituary
John A. Albanese, Jr., age 52, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, died suddenly at his residence on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 8, 1957 in Wilmington, son of the late Reta (Cullen) Albanese.
Mr. Albanese worked for the City of Wilmington for 25 years retiring as a housing inspector. John also worked for Christiana Excavating, Mountaire of Millsboro, and most recently for the Delaware State Housing Authority, Burton Village. He was a member of the Polaski Legion in Wilmington and was a tireless community servant. He loved motorcycles and being on the water. When he was not working, he was boating, crabbing or fishing. He was a loving husband and a devoted father. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara (McDermott) Albanese; three sons: Timothy John Albanese of Millsboro, Christopher John Albanese and his companion Mariah Lindsey and their son Landen of Millsboro, and Jesse S. Albanese and his companion April Philips and their children Johnathon, Brittany and Katie; and one brother, Donald A. Schorah and his wife Susan of Newark, DE.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday,December 28, 2009, 6:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
