Joanne Wetzel's Obituary
Joanne (Patchell) Wetzel, age 79, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Renaissance Healthcare in Millsboro, DE. She was born April 11, 1927 in Dover, DE, daughter of the late Howard and Marian Patchell.
Mrs. Wetzel attended Goldy Beacon College in Wilmington, DE. She retired from Citizens Bank, formerly known as Farmers First when she began working. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion, Post #28 and enjoyed the many activities available at the Rehoboth Beach Senior Center.
Mrs. Wetzel is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles Wetzel; two grandchildren: Lauren Mary Hauser and Carl Corwin "Corey" Hauser, both of Elk Mills, MD; and her brother, H.H. "Dick" Patchell of Wilmington, DE. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Dawn Wetzel (2004).
All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes, DE.
