JoAnne Stella Kilsheimer's Obituary
On Tuesday, August 13, 2013, JoAnne Stella Kilsheimer of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away suddenly at the age of 70. Loving mother of Timarie K. Thompson (Blair) and Lisa K. Stevenson (Conrad), sister of Jack Cunningham, grandmother to Chase Thompson and David, James and Miles Stevenson. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Victor.
JoAnne was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. Cunningham of Auburn, Massachusetts. A graduate of Auburn High School and St. Vincent Hospital School for Surgical Technicians, JoAnne also attended Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing, both in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Over the years, JoAnne was very involved with many community organizations. For the past 22 years she was a committed volunteer at the St. John’s Episcopal Church, Norwood Parrish Opportunity Shop in Bethesda, Maryland. JoAnne enjoyed antiquing, collectables, spending time with her many friends and playing with her faithful feline companion Victor. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her grandsons. JoAnne had been a summer resident of Dewey Beach since 1971 and enjoyed her time at the ocean.
JoAnne’s warmth, wonderful sense of humor and compassion will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
