I just found out about Joanne's passing. Joanne and I worked together at Astra, after she hired me into her group. I really appreciated her guidance, leadership and friendship. May God bless her soul and may He grant peace to her family.

So very sad to hear of your loss. Joanne was a force to be dealt with...LOL...she will be missed!
Joanne was a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, co-worker and friend. She was an accomplished and respected professional and approached life, and death, head-on. She was focused, dedicated, passionate, and an all-around go-getter. We were all so happy and proud when she achieved her goal of owning a house at the shore where the welcome mat was always out. She provided us with many fond memories of swimming, kayaking, jumping off giant floats, and crabbing in the bay while a Phillies game played on the TV inside and chicken barbecued on the grill. With a deep appreciation for nature and a passion for the outdoors, she enjoyed birding, fishing, golfing, and called attention to every butterfly that passed by. She worked tirelessly on her vegetable gardens and always had beautiful flower boxes on her deck. Joanne had a big heart and was overly thoughtful and generous. She connected with distant relatives and touched many. Having a soft spot for strays, Joanne provided a caring home to oh so many pets with clever names like Missy, short for Miss Fortune. She loved to hear about the family and had a terrific sense of humor. She valued and appreciated her many friends who stayed in touch and offered support. Remarkably, despite her debilitating disease, she never complained, was bitter, or expressed anger. Her handling of her illness and ability to maintain her faith is an inspiration.

I knew Joanne from West Chester University. She was such a lovely, fun loving person and I knew she would be successful in life. I am saddened to hear of her death. Life is so short, I wish we had stayed in touch. Condolences to her family. Sue Roberts (Zimmerman).

I worked at Shore with Joanne prior to
Her illness. She was a great project lead and I enjoyed her company on our many trips to Cerner in Kansas City. So sorry to hear of her passing.
