Joanna Margaret Schools' Obituary
Joanna Margaret (Livering) Schools, age 72, of Lewes, DE, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born December 10, 1933 in Lebanon, PA, daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Regina (Haulman) Livering.
Mrs. Schools was a member of American Legion Post #17 Ladies Auxilary and the Red Hat Society "Scarlett Ladies" of Lewes.
Mrs. Schools is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerald E. Schools; six children, Edward Schools and his wife Lise of Okimos, MI, Lynn Heisey and her husband Arthur "Jack" of Jonestown, PA, Anita Schools of Lewes, DE, Gerald Schools, Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Lebanon, PA, Karen Lee and her husband Verne of Valparaiso, IN, and Richard Schools and his wife Amy of Cedar Rapids, IA; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four brothers, Gary Livering and his wife Judy of Levittown, PA, Theordore Livering, Jr. and his wife Christine of Lebanon, PA, John Livering of Allentown, PA, and Craig Livering and his wife Sharon of Allentown, PA; and two sisters, Doris Williams of Hellertown, PA and Darlene Rompilla of White Hall, PA.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2006, 11 A.M., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Pastor Charlie Arnold will be officiating. Burial will be private.
In addition, the family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, starting at 4 PM, at the home of Mrs. Schools' daughter, Lynn Heisey in Jonestown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post #17, Ladies Auxilary, American Legion Road, Lewes, DE 19958 or to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
