Joann Allen's Obituary
Joann Allen, age 79 of Bridgeville, DE, passed away at home with her youngest daughter, Tammy by her side on Friday, August 30, 2024. She was born on January 2, 1945, in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late William and Dora (Stockler) Wilson.
Mrs. Allen married the love of her life Malcom R. Allen and the two would spend many beautiful years together creating countless memories and raising their family. Her creative mind found outlets in sewing, crafting, and dancing. Traveling was also one of Mrs. Allen's favorite pursuits, a testament to her love for culture and her desire to connect with the world beyond her doorstep. She also enjoyed trips to the casino with her family and friends. But it was as a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother that brought her great joy. Mrs. Allen will be dearly missed and forever loved by all the lives she touched. She lived a full life, and her family will always carry her memory in their hearts.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her husband, Malcom R. Allen Sr.; her oldest daughter, Tracey; her sisters, Elizabeth Wilson and Leona Dunnigan; her brothers, Eugene Wilson, and William Wilson; her son-in-law, Larry Karnes; her brother-in-law, John Dunnigan; her sister-in-law, Pat Wilson, and great-granddaughter, Braelyn Blades. She is survived by her 4 children: David, Tammy, Billy, and Malcom Jr.; her grandchildren: Kimberly, Crystal, Tasha, Alexus, David Beverley ll, Michael Beverley, Katie Beverley, Gabby Beverley, Tyler Beverley, Will Beverley, Emma Beverley, Lori Noel, and Kelly Blades; her 12 great grandchildren; her siblings: Jenny Coburn, and Michael Wilson ; her sisters-in-law, Cee Wilson and many cousins, in-laws, second cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 6:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends and family may call beginning at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A second viewing will start at 5:00 PM and go on until 6:00PM.
