Joane Kathleen Roskam's Obituary
Joane Kathleen Roskam, age 84 of Severna Park, MD, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Brandywine Senior Living in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was born Friday, July 7, 1933 in Humboldt County, IA, daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Rachey) Peters.
Mrs. Roskam was a graduate of Iowa Methodist School of Nursing. She built a career as a registered nurse, retiring from St. Agnes Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and singing in the church choir. Mrs. Roskam was also a member of the Berrywood Women's Club. More than anything, however, she cherished time spent with her wonderful family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roskam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mickey D. Roskam; her brother, Bruce Peters; and her sister, Norma Jean Teaters. She is survived by her children: Michelle Moore (Mike), Mark Roskam, Kimberly Medford (Timothy), and Scott Roskam; her grandchildren: Brandy Redding, Megan Harris, Lauren Finecey, Ryan Williams, Sean Williams, Trevor Williams, Mathew Roskam, Tyler Roskam, and Samantha Roskam; and her great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Addison, Jeremiah, Owen, Chase, Cole, Peyton, Colton, Ethan, and Miles.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 4:00 PM, at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church: 611 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Severna Park, MD.
