Joan I. Failor's Obituary
Joan I. Failor, age 87 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at her home. She was born on November 9, 1935, in Milford, DE, daughter of the late Lionel and Iva (Rogers) Ingram.
Mrs. Failor worked for Joyce’s Slipcover Shop for 20 dedicated years, as well as owning her own slipcover business. She had a love for all animals, but a special affinity for horses. Mrs. Failor enjoyed being outside in the sunshine and fresh air, particularly doing yardwork and keeping her home beautiful. More than anything however, she cherished time spent with those she held most dear. Mrs. Failor was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Loved by many, she will be genuinely missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Failor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Parker E. Failor; her daughter, Iva Jane Fagan; and her siblings: Richard M. Ingram, Sr., Samuel Ingram, Nelson Ingram, Pearl Wilkins, and Fay Graham. She is survived by her daughter, Christine C. McCarty of Milton, DE; her grandchild, Ragen McCarty; and her loyal feline friend, Pixie.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 2:30 PM, at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087, or www.lls.org.
