WALTER & FAMILY,
PLEASE ACCEPT MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
SINCERELY,
JOANN I. ELLIOTT
Andrew: Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Your mother was very lucky to have such a wonderful son. She was always so proud. You know we are here for you.
In the short time that Joan and I spent many hours in the evening at STHS AED, she has been a great friend. As I have called her during the past few months concerned about her condition, I certainly wished that we could have at least had one more casual dinner for old times sake. But now I understand that she was courageously fighting for her life. Joan, I know you can hear me. May the Lord welcome you into His Kingdom and is now showering you with all His Graces and Comfort as much as you truly deserve. To Andrew, inasmuch as I was planning to go to the viewing tomorrow and Saturday, I may not be able to come because of medical and logistical issues. Please accept my sincerest sympathies. As I have mentioned to you earlier, please feel free to ask me for assistance if you care to. I realize that you may have a throng of support family and friends but just in case you are in a bind, please feel really free to contact me anytime. I will do whatever I can to help you in memory of your beloved Mom. Take care of yourself as I know you will and keep in touch regardless.
José
Im sorry for your loss Andrew your mom was an amazing awesome person. If you need anything let me know bro you know i always got your back
Joan was a wonderful person & my long time friend. They don't come any better then her!She was a good ole soul- the salt of the earth. She always gave to those she loved the most special gifts in life- love, time & concern. Over her life she cared for many folks, her family for one- Grandmother, Mother, Uncle John, & Father. And she cared for many others through her line of work. Joan was a dependable person who did what she did for others from her heart!
She was a good old Rehoboth girl who loved our area & what it had to offer. She had many interesting stories to tell of her life here.
Joan further showed her character in life by the way she dealt with her cancer diagnosis. She put up a courageous fight. She fought silently for that next day, week, month, & year. And she continued to see the good in life through it all, & did her best to enjoy life till her last breath. Through it all she shared more then once with me how Walter was always there for her when she needed him. And her brother John was very special to her too. And anybody that knew Joan knew "the light of her life" was Andrew! The fine young man he is, is a lasting tribute to Joan.
May Joanie Woanie rest in ever-lasting peace now!
To the family of Joan.
I was a student of Joan's many years ago in the medical field. We became special friends. I will miss her geniune friendship and love. She was a devoted mother to her son Andy, will deeply miss her.
Dear Andrew and family,
I was in that fortunate group of St. Mary's College girls who knew and loved your mom. She was a warm, incredibly funny, delightful presence. She accomplished much in her life, but everyone knew her proudest achievement was having you. Please know that she holds a warm and special place in our hearts, and our our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. aa
Walt and Andrew we are very sorry for your loss.
Keep smiling from above and Keep a light shining on Andrew. He loved you so much. You will remain in everyone's heart as you touched so many people.
