Joan A. Boxer's Obituary
Joan A. Boxer, a beacon of gentleness and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, in Lewes, Delaware. Born on June 7, 1934, in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Joan's loving spirit touched all who knew her.
A proud graduate of J.W. Cooper High School in her hometown, Joan went on to impact many lives through her dedicated work at Ursuline Academy until her retirement. Her nurturing presence and unwavering support remained a cornerstone for colleagues and students alike.
Joan leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Sharon Papaleo and Ronald Boxer., as well as her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her cherished parents, Russell and Pauline Mervine, and her devoted husband, Albert P. Boxer.
With a heart full of compassion, Joan fostered warmth and tenderness in every interaction. Those privileged to have felt the embrace of her love will carry forward her gentle spirit. Joan's memory will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends.
