Jo-Ann Shifflett's Obituary

Jo-Ann Klett Shifflett, age 74 of Lewes, Delaware passed away October 19, 2019 in Mechanicsville, Maryland, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 13, 1944 in Albemarle Virginia, the only child of the late Joseph and Anna Klett.
Jo-Ann was raised in Orange County, Virginia and graduated from high school there in 1962. After high school, she attended Smithdeal Massey Business School in Richmond, Virginia and went on to make her living as a secretary. Jo-Ann married Robert Shifflett in November 1970. Upon retiring in 2004, they moved to Lewes, Delaware. Jo-Ann attended the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, as well as Epworth Methodist Church. She enjoyed the Red Hat Club, shopping, and painting.
Jo-Ann is survived by her son, Derek Shifflett (Kimberly) of Macomb, MI; her daughter, Heather Baker (Charles) of Mechanicsville, MD; her five beautiful grandchildren: Garrett and Corryn Baker of Mechanicsville, MD and Samantha, Nathan, and Noah Shifflett of Macomb, MI; and her many loving friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 4th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, Delaware, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jo-Ann's memory to Hospice of St. Marys, PO Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
