When we bought the house next to Jessie 5 years ago, we immediately became long distance friends. She was a character, at the time she worked at the outlets, She liked to go dancing with her friends. We had a lot of our conversations through our porches. She really liked my son and his wife, and always asked about them. My husband' s favorite memory of her was riding on the back of Kamal's kid car at almost 80! She began to fail bit by bit but she always remained cheerful. We sold the place last spring, before leaving, I got to take a final picture with her and Kamal. She went on my family wall of photos on my refrigerator, because in my heart, she will always be. Rest In Peace Jess, I know you are with your daughter and husband now. And no more pain!
Jessie aka " Bahama Mama " was one very special lady! Everyone knew her for her bright red hair and ALWAYS dancing at The Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach, dancing to the Island Boyz band! You couldn't get her to sit down! She had a big, bright, beautiful smile on her face that I will never forget! I can still hear her voice now! We laughed all the time. I had some of my best memories with her! I'll cherish each and every one of them. Now you entered Heaven on your Anniversary with Sam so you are now dancing your little heart out with him up in Heaven ♡♡ You will always be in my heart Mama. You will be missed by so many!!!!! To know Jessie is knowing a Happy soul, that loved and enjoyed life. She had a wicked sence but also let you know in a heart beat where to get off. I'm not sure if she's playing a joke on me, our birthday is a day apart, hers july 10 and mine 11, my dad's birthday is January 10 which is the day she left us. Our times spend together was always mermorable, she always put a smile on my face when on stage and she walks in on the Deck. I'll miss her dearly but she'll always be with me, in spirit. One of the sweetest spunkiest fun lovingest people you could have the chance ever know. I enjoyed the time I've got to know and work with her. I thought of her like another grandmother, loved our talks we always shared a lot of laughs. She was one awesome lady with her bright red hair her quirky personality she was so full of life, she was the epitome of age is just a number.
