Jessica Umstetter Warren's Obituary
Jessica Umstetter Warren, 42, of Greenwood, Delaware, passed away too soon, on March 16, 2025, after a lengthy battle with an autoimmune disease. Jessica was a devoted mother, fiancée, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Born on April 7, 1982, in Marlton, NJ, Jessica grew up in Delaware and was a proud graduate of Woodbridge High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in education from Wilmington University. However, her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three daughters: London Warren and Ashlynn and Avery Wilson; and stepmother to Amber, Ali, Billy and Aven Wilson. She treasured every moment she had with her children and delighted in creating special memories and celebrations for them that were filled with love and happiness. Her unwavering love will forever be a part of them, a legacy that endures beyond her earthly life.
Jessica is survived and missed by her beloved children; her mother, Lynn Kocher; sister, April Bergeron; fiancée, Bill Wilson; grandmother, Annie Kocher; niece, Madison Bergeron; nephew, Cole Bergeron; and her late husband’s parents, Alan and Brenda Warren. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Umstetter, and her husband, Andy Warren.
Her caring nature, creativity, and generosity shone brightly in all she did, and she touched many lives in her short life. She strived to be of service to others in positions at Woodbridge School District, Climate Control, and Lo Lo’s Store. She developed a love of gardening and cooking, finding peace and purpose in nurturing life and preparing meals for those she loved. She was a firm believer in making others feel valued and would often go out of her way to bring joy to those around her.
A celebration of Jessica’s life will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Home & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 S Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends and family may visit beginning at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
As Scottish poet Thomas Campbell said, “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” Jessica’s warm and beautiful spirit will live on within all of those who loved her.
