Jessey Rogers Shupe's Obituary
Jessey Rogers Shupe, age 73, of Greenwood, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, after a courageous 17-year battle with heart disease.
Born on September 15, 1951, in Jessup, MD, he was the son of the late Rex and Virginia (Roberts) Shupe. Jessey was a graduate of Atholton High School in Columbia, MD. On November 18, 1983, he married the love of his life, Terri Ann (Funk) Shupe, in Ellicott City, MD.
Jessey was a man of many talents and passions. He loved spending time with his granddaughter Kendall, baking, hunting, fishing, building, and creating things with his hands. A true outdoorsman and craftsman, Jessey found joy in the simple things. He was also a devoted fan of old black-and-white Westerns and cheered faithfully for the Baltimore Ravens.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 41 years, Terri Shupe; sons, Joshua Shupe and Teagan Shupe; daughter-in-law, Niki Russell; cherished granddaughter, Kendall Shupe; as well as eight additional grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, David Shupe; sisters, Fern Baldwin, Helen Rhymer, and Wanda Shupe; nieces, Rhonda Volland and Julia Goff (Mike); great-nephew, Jace; and great-niece, Makayla Goff.
In addition to his parents, Jessey was preceded in death by his son, Jason Shupe, and his brother, Billy Shupe.
A celebration of Jessey’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory be made directly to Mrs. Terri Shupe, to help with medical bills.
