Jesse H. Flanders' Obituary
Jesse H. Flanders went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 19, 2025, at the age of 89.
Jesse proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. His military career took him around the world, where he experienced many cultures and made lifelong memories. It was during his service abroad that he met the love of his life, Rosemarie, his devoted wife of 63 years.
Following his military retirement, Jesse continued his commitment to service as a member of the Dover Air Force Base Fire Department, eventually rising to the role of Chief.
In retirement, Jesse embraced life to the fullest. He and Rosemarie traveled often, enjoying new places and experiences together. Jesse was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, and was a boating enthusiast. He cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He never missed his weekly card game with close friends.
Jesse was a proud member of the Indian River Yacht Club, American Legion Post 28, and The Elks.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemarie; his children Debbie Ritter, Cathy Leyden (Mike), Jesse Flanders (Lisa), and Scott Flanders (Leslie); his ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A private committal and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
