Jerry Lynn Stogner's Obituary
Jerry Lynn Stogner, age 68, of Greenwood, DE, passed away at home on Thursday, November 16, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Vero Beach, FL, on December 18, 1954, son of the late Ralph Stogner and Thelma (Dickerson) Stogner.
Jerry graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, class of 1972. He married the love of his life, Deborah Lee Stogner on September 11, 1976, and the two spent many beautiful years together creating countless memories and raising their family. Jerry enjoyed a lifelong career as a general contractor in the construction industry, retiring after many dedicated years as a master carpenter. His hobbies were active and constructive and in his spare time he enjoyed gator wrestling and being near water fishing, and hunting. An avid outdoorsman, he could often be found hunting when temperatures were lowest. Throughout his golden years, his creative talents were evident in his enjoyment of creating unique jewelry and other woodworking crafts. More than anything, Jerry loved spending time with those he held most dear. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and dear friend, he will be genuinely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
