Jeremiah J. Douglass' Obituary
Jeremiah J. Douglass, age 84, of Millsboro, DE formerly of South Plainfield, NJ, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Milford Center, Milford DE. He was born in Plainfield, NJ on December 9, 1929, son of the late Jerry and Ellen (Bergen) Douglass.
Mr. Douglass was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Douglass retired after many years of service with Bell Laboratories which later became Telcordia. Mr. Douglass held a Fourth Degree with the Knights of Columbus. He was a great story teller and a great jokester who always made you smile. He was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a dear friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Douglass was preceded in death by his wife Ella Mae Lawrence Douglass in 2004 and his daughter Linda Damrau in 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Swyt and her husband Donald of Millsboro, DE; two grandchildren: Alicia McGregor and her husband Steven and Donald Swyt Jr. and his girlfriend Stacie; his two great-grandchildren, Aidan McGregor and Lauren McGregor; and his son-in-law Robert Damrau of Lawton, OK.
All services and entombment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Douglass memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
