Dear Killeen/Dupree family,
My deepest condolences to you for the loss of my dear friend Jennifer. Jen and I were classmates at St. Lawrence. She was my date to one of our favorite Sigma Chi fraternity parties called "The Boonies." In the Fall we would bring our dates to a wooded area far off campus at night where we would have a live band playing. It was chilly so we would search for firewood and kindling to build fires. Unfortunately, a fragment from a broken stick flew up and hit Jen in the eye immediately ending our evening. As one of the star SLU field hockey players, she would miss the next several games and wore a patch over her eye. I felt terrible.
I was shocked and saddened to learn of her passing from a fellow SLU friend on Facebook. Knowing her was a true blessing and I will always remember her fondly.
