Jeffrey Thomas Rose's Obituary
Jeffrey "Jeff" Thomas Rose, 62, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2025, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Born on September 16, 1962, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, Jeff was the beloved son of Emory and Linda Sue (Chambers) Rose. He was raised in Maryland and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 1980. A skilled contractor by trade, Jeff was known for his mechanical mind, craftsmanship, and unwavering work ethic. Whether working as a carpenter or lending a hand as a handyman, he took pride in building and fixing with care and precision.
Jeff had a zest for life and a magnetic personality. He was a gifted storyteller, always ready with a tale that could light up a room. He loved a good time, was a passionate cook and BBQ master, and found joy in simple pleasures—gardening, golfing, watching NASCAR, and cheering on his beloved Washington Redskins.
He married Mary Montgomery, with whom he shared many years and memories, and though they later divorced, they remained part of a shared family story.
Jeff is survived by his loving mother, Linda Sue Rose; his sons, Thomas Martin Rose and his wife Maria, and Jeffrey Montgomery Rose; and his cherished granddaughters, Scarlett Antoinette Rose and Violett Juliana Rose. He also leaves behind his sister, Melissa Rosenberg and her husband Scott; nephews Michael and David Rosenberg; niece Alexandra Rosenberg; and extended family members Lindsay and Paulette Montgomery.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Burial will be held privately.
