Jeanne H. Larned's Obituary
Jeanne H. Larned, age 97 of Lewes, DE passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at The Moorings at Lewes. She was born on June 24, 1925, in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late Dewey and Ruth (Anthony) Hagen.
Mrs. Larned obtained a bachelor’s degree from Drew University in 1946. She worked as a secretary for Duke University in the chemistry department, as well as for CIBA. On March 20, 1948, Mrs. Larned married the love of her life, George H. Larned and together they raised their beautiful family. She was an avid stitcher and longtime member of the Bergen County, NJ Embroiderer’s Guild of America. She truly treasured time spent with her family and grandkids above all. Mrs. Larned was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Loved by many, she will be forever missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Larned was predeceased by her husband, George H. Larned. She is survived by her daughters: Carol L. Campman (Steve) of Denville, NJ, and Cynthia L. Winkler (Ed) of Lewes, DE; her grandchildren: Alexander Campman of Newark, OH, Michael Campman of Morristown, NJ, Christina Winkler of Arlington, VA, and Brian Winkler (Molly) of Wilmington, DE; her great grandchildren: Abbie Campman, Trey Campman, and Malcom Campman of Newark, OH, and Raelyn Winkler of Wilmington, DE; her nephews: Richard Larned (Karen) of Ogdensburg, NJ, Lawrence Powers (Sara) of Middlefield, CT, Vicki Machback (Glenn) of Southbury, CT, and Kim Wilhelm (Gary) of Milford, CT.
Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.
