Jeanette K. Scott's Obituary
Jeanette K. Scott, of Stevens, PA passed away on Friday July 1, 2016 at Denver Health and Rehabilitation Center located in Stevens. She was 89. She and her husband were longtime residents of Bridgeville, Delaware.
Mrs. Scott was born on September 4, 1926 in Bridgeville, the daughter of the late Leroy and Viola Lofland. She graduated from Milton High School in 1944. In September 1945 she married Norris E. Scott and they were married for 59 years. They lived in Bridgeville until 2004 and then moved to a health facility near her daughter in Pennsylvania.
She worked for 30 years at the former Baltimore Trust Bank (now PNC Bank) retiring in 1982 as bank manager. She served many individuals and businesses in her community as the bank manager and deeply enjoyed her banking career and association with her Baltimore Trust colleagues.She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and knitting.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Fleetwood of Bridgeville and by her late husband Norris in 2004. She attended Epworth Church in Bridgeville. She is survived by her only child, a daughter, Connie M. Watson and her son-in-law Elton E.Watson of New Holland, PA; two grandsons and their wives, Scott E. and Alison Watson of Richmond, VA and Jeffrey T. and Kendra Watson of Stevens. PA; and four great grand children, Mitchell and Davis Watson, sons of Scott and Alison Watson and Mikaela and Ariana Watson, daughters of Jeffrey and Kendra Watson.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 12:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Home, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE, where friends may call beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Johnstown cemetery in Greenwood immediately following the services.
