My sincere sympathy to Irmgard and daughters. I only learned of Mike's passing today. While I haven't seen or spoken with Mike since his retirement from working at Fort Meade, Md,, I want to post and let his family know that I respected Mike and missed him after he retired. He had a significant impact in my career when we worked together and I never forgot it. Mike was smart, hardworking and dedicated. He was a valued leader in the Army organization and I learned a lot from him. In thinking of him now, I have a lot of memories rushing back, a lot of time has passed but the one memory that stands out is that I see and hear him laughing 'loudly' at some joke before the rest of us caught on to the joke. God Bless Mike and happy fishing.
