Jane Carole Morgan's Obituary
Jane C. Morgan, age 70, of Bridgeville, DE, entered Heaven’s gates on Friday, January 7, 2022, at TidalHealth Nanticoke. She was born in Wilmington, DE on March 10, 1951, daughter of the late Albert Morgan and Betty (Reed) Ellison.
Jane graduated from John Dickinson High School, class of 1969. She enjoyed her career with the State of Delaware Department of Corrections, as a Correctional Officer, until she retired after 22 dedicated years. Jane was a patient, loving and caring woman who lived by the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. She had a special connection with animals, which led to her rescuing and rehabilitating many of them over the years. Along with her collection of stuffed animals, she also loved walking on the beach collecting shells and coral.
After retirement, she spent her time bird watching, telling stories of her past to her grandsons, and being an awesome mother figure to her son-in-law, John. Anyone who had the chance to know her, will truly miss her and will carry the fond memories of her with them. Good night, sweet dreams and we love you!
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her two uncles: Earl Morgan and John C. Reed; and two granddaughters: Aaliyah Whaley and Aurora Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Whaley and her husband, John, of Bridgeville, DE; her three sons: David Conner of Virginia, Michael Conner and his fiancé, Lauren, of Frankford, DE and John Conner of Minot, ND; her three grandsons: Joshua Whaley and his wife, Teresa, of Laurel, DE, Timothy Whaley of Bridgeville, DE, and William A. Conner, of Minot, ND; one granddaughter: Liliana Conner, of Minot, ND; one great granddaughter: Evie Whaley, of Laurel, DE; one cousin; Dee Hook and her husband, Len, of Florida.
At Jane’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Villalobos Rescue Center, P.O. Box 39, Napoleonville, LA. 70390 or online at www.vrcpitbull.com, http://www.vrcpitbull.com. This is a pit bull/wolf rescue that she has followed for many years.
