Jan Ames Rody's Obituary
Jan Ames Rody, 84, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Ocean Grove Rehabilitation Center in Millsboro.
She was born on August 10, 1942, in Chester, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late George and Etta McCullough.
Jan dedicated many years of her life to working in retail management, where she was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and the connections she built with customers and coworkers alike.
She is survived by her son, John Doucette and his companion, Donna Murray; her grandchildren, Victor Little, Emma Belle Coleman (Cody), Ryan Murray, and Jessica Murray; and her great-grandchildren, Cash Coleman and Riley Murray.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Little; her son, Bob McMaster; and her grandchildren, Trevor Little and Shawn Little.
Jan enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved crocheting, reading, and doing word searches. She was also very fond of her cat, Onyx. Above all else, Jan cherished her family and the time she spent with them.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all the lives she touched.
