James Waller's Obituary
James Francis Waller, age 74, of Elkton, MD, formerly of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Salisbury, MD, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007, at SunBridge Care & Rehab for Elkton in Elkton, MD. He was born October 4, 1933 in Warren, PA, son of the late Francis J. and Evelyn G. (Offerle) Waller.
Mr. Waller was formerly employed as a Recreation Specialist at Floral Park, NY. He also had worked for the DeVereux Foundation in Paoli, PA. He and his wife were foster parents to children for 25 years in New York and Delaware. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Andrew J. Waller in October 1994 and his brother Joseph J. Waller in November 1982. He is survived by his wife Donna T. (Van Velsor) Waller of Lewes; two daughters, Evelyn T. Waller of Newark, DE and Dona' M. Hill and her husband Michael of Mechanicsville, VA; a son Kevin M. Waller of Newark, DE; a sister, Joyce Waller of Hampton Bay, NY; and a brother William A. Waller and his wife Lucille of Murrells Inlet, SC.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 10 AM at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, Delaware Route 1 north of Five Points. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 2, 6-8 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Pilottown Road in Lewes, DE.
