James R. Van Sickel's Obituary
James R. Van Sickel, age 83, of Millsboro, DE, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. He was born August 26, 1925 in Chicago, IL.
Mr. Van Sickel was a resident of Delaware for 32 years. He was an avid sportsmans who enjoyed boating and fishing; he was most avid about hunting. Mr. Van Sickel had a long career with the Ford Motor Company, Mahwah, NJ, as a material handler. He served with the U.S. Navy as an ordinance man during WW II. He was devoted to his wife of 40 years, Albina (Luciano) Van Sickel.
In addition of his wife Albina, he is survived by his son Jimmy Van Sickel; a daughter Cathy Van Sickel; three step-sons, Thomas Monroe, Robert Monroe and Christopher Gagg; several grandchildren; and a niece Debbie Watson.
A chapel service and interment will be held Friday, October 31, 1:00 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. Friends may call on Friday, 10 AM to 12 Noon at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
