James “Jim” Vahlsing passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025 at home in Milford, DE after succumbing to his battle with cancer. Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Anne Vahlsing, and their four children: Maureen Anne M Read Obituary
He is my former father in law and always my buddy. I have so many memories over the last 20 years. We would go fishing at 6am when we stayed at the house in Rehobeth sometimes, just two of us. I remember one fishing trip on a charter boat. There were a few other guys in the boat and they were very annoying. They thought they were such great fishermen. It was a rough day on the boat. Very rocky. All the guys that thought they were so great got sea sick!! We laughed so hard on the way back. One more memory of many to share. I know I’m not the only one who heard him say “Jim Vahlsing, you are a genius!!”. Rip in peace buddy. I’ll never forget you 🙏🙏
Maureen, Chris, Michael, Tim, Michael, Matthew, Zach, Travis and all the family members who are grieving the loss of “Jim”.
