When we remember Jimmy Smith it is always with a smile on his face. Probably most people remember him that way, happy, upbeat, and just plain fun to be around.
We’ve had many memorable Labor Day weekend parties by the pool and cabana with Jimmy, family and friends. Always plenty to eat and drink and a truly joyful way to spend the day with our extended family. One of our most unforgettable times (see attached photo) was when Jimmy accidentally alerted 911 to his whereabouts when turning off his phone. The policeman showed up and made a bee line for an unsuspecting Jimmy. Mind you, we were all a bit inebriated! It was a hilarious encounter that had us all in stitches then, and whenever the event is recalled. It goes without saying, those times will remain with us forever and we are heartbroken to accept Jimmy won’t physically be with us at future gatherings. We know he will be with us in spirit, as he will always remain in our hearts.
We send our love and condolences to Sassy, who was obviously Jimmy's true love, as well, as the rest of his family that loved him deeply.
Jimmy, we will miss you. May you rest in peace.
